About this opportunity
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is seeking proposals to acquire water vapor sensors for installation on commercial aircraft, as well as associated services for installation, data transmission, and maintenance support. Offerors must meet technical specifications for the sensors and demonstrate a capability to transmit meteorological data in real-time to the National Mesonet Program. Proposals will be evaluated based on technical approach, compliance with requirements, and price, with technical factors being more important than price. Questions are due by August 9th and proposals are due by August 17th.
There is no set-aside designation for this requirement. The primary NAICS code is 334511 and PSC code is 1560. Up to five sensors would be acquired initially with an option for thirty additional sensors. All work must be performed within the United States. The statement of work requires the sensors to be installed on aircraft flying routes between the West Coast and central tropical Pacific Ocean to provide vertical profiles of water vapor and other data points.
