About this opportunity
The Army Contracting Command (ACC) - Aberdeen Proving Ground, Tobyhanna Division, is conducting a Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought notice to identify potential vendors capable of supplying a Walk-In Oven, Oven Truck, and Oven Shelves for Tobyhanna Army Depot. The draft minimum specifications outline a comprehensive industrial oven with precise technical requirements, including a 48" x 52" x 72" chamber size, operating temperature range of 104-650°F, and 36 kW heating capacity. Interested vendors are requested to provide information about their firm's capabilities to support this requirement, submitting detailed business information such as company name, contact details, CAGE code, NAICS, business size, and SAM registration. The RFI responses must be submitted to Marissa Brodi via email by Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 10:00 AM EST. This notice is strictly for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a commitment to contract or guarantee a future solicitation.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for this procurement opportunity. While the exact award value is not specified, the detailed technical specifications suggest a complex industrial equipment procurement targeting specialized manufacturers in the Industrial Process Furnace and Oven Manufacturing sector (NAICS 333994). The oven specifications require precise performance metrics, including temperature uniformity of +/- 1.5% and rapid heating capabilities (104°F to 350°F in 15 minutes). The government has emphasized that all information submitted is voluntary, and respondents will not be compensated for preparing their capability statements. The RFI leaves open the possibility of follow-up one-on-one discussions with respondents to gain additional clarity about their submitted information, with the ultimate goal of potentially developing a future solicitation for this specialized industrial equipment.
