About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Mission and Installation Contracting Command at Fort Eustis is seeking a contractor to deliver and install a walk-in freezer for the 198th Infantry Brigade at Fort Moore, Georgia. The pre-solicitation notice outlines a requirement for a comprehensive service that includes procurement, delivery, and installation of a new walk-in freezer while removing the existing inoperable unit. The contract is designed to support Infantry Initial Training, with a critical objective of providing ice freezers to mitigate potential heat injuries in environments where temperatures can reach up to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. The contractor must provide all necessary personnel, equipment, and services to complete the installation, with a performance period not expected to exceed 60 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. While specific evaluation criteria are not explicitly detailed in the pre-solicitation notice, the contract will require compliance with safety regulations, completion of mandatory training, and adherence to strict security requirements for military installation access.
The contract is set aside specifically for Woman-Owned Small Business participants and falls under the NAICS category for Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The contractor will be expected to provide a 10-year warranty on workmanship and materials, with technical specifications requiring specific compressor and evaporator models, precise voltage requirements, and refrigerant specifications. The installation will be subject to inspection by the Directorate of Public Works at Fort Moore, Georgia. While the exact award value is not specified, the contract is structured as a firm fixed-price agreement. The project is time-sensitive, with the pre-solicitation notice posted on May 9, 2025, and responses due by May 16, 2025, indicating a relatively compressed timeline for potential bidders to prepare and submit their proposals.
