About this opportunity
This Special Notice is from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Integrated Service Network 22 (VISN 22), regarding a sole source contract opportunity for server migration services. The contract is for the Long Beach VA Healthcare System in California.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform the public of the VA's intent to award a sole source contract to Xerox Corporation for the migration of servers supporting campus-wide Xerox multifunctional devices. The old servers are end-of-life Microsoft Server 2012 and pose a critical vulnerability to the VA network. The estimated value of the contract is $11,072.94, and the response deadline is August 22, 2024 at 12pm Pacific Time. Due to the urgent nature and the exclusive proprietary nature of the Xerox equipment, only Xerox or their authorized distributors can meet the agency's needs, and a sole source brand name acquisition is required. While market research identified 4,695 SDVOSB/VOSB concerns under the applicable NAICS code, the VA determined that Xerox is the only vendor capable of providing the required services.
