About this opportunity

The U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for Video Teleconference (VTC) Maintenance and Repair services at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland. This market research effort is designed to gather industry insights for a future acquisition strategy involving maintenance and life cycle replacements for fourteen conference rooms. The RFI is being conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 15.201(e) and specifically encourages participation from 8(a) certified firms. The scope of work includes comprehensive maintenance, equipment replacements, and on-call repair services for existing VTC infrastructure across multiple buildings and conference spaces. The procurement will cover labor, materials, equipment, tools, quality control, and inspection services necessary to support the command's communication technology needs.

Contractors interested in responding must submit a detailed capability statement by 10:00 AM EDT on March 21, 2025, directly to Tiffany N. Barnes via email. The RFI requires participants to provide specific information, including contact details, socioeconomic status, core competencies, estimated labor hours, and cost estimates for maintenance and life cycle replacement services. Respondents must also include two recent contract numbers demonstrating prior experience in conference room maintenance. The government is seeking comprehensive insights into potential service approaches, with a particular focus on understanding labor requirements, cost structures, and technical capabilities for maintaining complex video teleconferencing systems. While this is not a formal solicitation, the information gathered will be critical in shaping ATEC's future acquisition strategy for VTC maintenance and repair services, with a strong preference for engaging 8(a) certified firms in the process.
