About this opportunity
This pre-solicitation notice from the 76th Contracting Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base seeks emergency repair services for a 60,000-pound R-50-240 Fluid Cell Press. The selected contractor shall test, teardown, evaluate, and repair the press to restore functionality. Within one business day, the contractor must provide findings from teardown and evaluation along with a fixed price quote for repairs. Upon authorization from the contracting officer, required parts must be ordered within two days and repairs completed within five days of the contractor receiving parts. The deadline for responses is January 29, 2021.
No set-aside designation was used for this procurement. Repairs shall be conducted under NAICS code 811310 and PSC code R499 for industrial machinery repair and maintenance. As the press supports production for various aircraft including KC-135, E3, B-52, B-1, E-6, work by the incumbent contractor may continue production timelines for those systems. The performance work statement specifies procedures to ensure environmental compliance and safety during repairs at no additional cost to the government.
