About this opportunity
The U.S. Embassy in London is seeking a third-party vehicle fleet insurance provider for its official vehicles, with the solicitation to be launched on SAM.gov in the near future. The Department of State is targeting insurance agencies and brokerages to provide comprehensive vehicle insurance services for its fleet in the United Kingdom. The contract will be awarded to the lowest-priced technically acceptable offeror who demonstrates full compliance with local licensing and certification requirements for foreign mission vehicle insurance. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to proposal submission, with failure to do so potentially rendering their proposal non-responsive. The anticipated contract structure includes one base year with an optional second year, which can be exercised at the government's sole discretion.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate any specific set-aside designations for small businesses or other preferred categories. While specific budget ranges are not disclosed, the contract will be structured as a firm fixed-price type agreement. The performance period spans two potential years (one base year plus one option year), and electronic submissions will be accepted via email with a size limitation of 30 KB per transmission. Prospective contractors must also provide a signed certification demonstrating compliance with federal anti-discrimination laws. The opportunity falls under NAICS category 524210 for Insurance Agencies and Brokerages and PSC category G009 for Social Non-Government Insurance Programs. Interested vendors should carefully review the full solicitation when it becomes available on SAM.gov and ensure they meet all technical and administrative requirements.
