About this opportunity
The United States Coast Guard Aviation Logistics Center Medium Range Recovery Procurement Division has issued a Special Notice for the procurement of specialized aircraft components for MH-60T helicopters. The notice indicates the Coast Guard's intent to conduct a sole-source procurement with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation under existing Basic Ordering Agreement SPE4A1-22-G-0005. The requirement involves four specific aircraft parts: Fairing Assembly Fuse D, Access Door, Bearing Assembly, and Power Control Quadrant, with four units needed for each component. This procurement falls under NAICS code 336413 with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees, though the small business set-aside has been dissolved making this an unrestricted competition. The solicitation number 70Z03825QJ0000310 has been assigned for tracking purposes, and the notice has undergone multiple deadline extensions since its initial posting in May 2025.
The primary purpose of this notice is to inform potential contractors of the Coast Guard's intention to procure critical aircraft maintenance components from the original equipment manufacturer, as these items are only available from one source according to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The current response deadline is October 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM EDT, representing the seventh amendment to the original July 2, 2025 deadline. While this is not a competitive solicitation, responsible sources may submit quotations to Kristen.L.Allen3@uscg.mil with the solicitation number in the subject line for agency consideration. Delivery is required within 200 days after receipt of order, with early shipments encouraged at no additional cost to the government. The Coast Guard will make award decisions based on fair and reasonable pricing determinations, with inspection and acceptance to be performed at origin by the Defense Contract Management Agency.
