However, other responsible sources may submit capability statements by the deadline of March 27, 2026 at 11:00 AM Eastern Standard Time to Linda Smith at Linda.smith2@nih.gov. The Government reserves the right to consider all responses received and retains sole discretion to determine whether to proceed with the sole source award or pursue competitive procurement based on the submissions received.
The procurement includes no set-aside designations and covers specific quantities of laboratory animal feed and bedding materials: 1,100 units of NIH Rat+Mouse Autoclavable 5% fat feed, 720 units of Alpha Dri Plus Bedding, 520 units of Certified Guinea Pig Irradiated Diet, 1,000 units of AlphaDri Irradiated bedding, and 26 deliveries with associated delivery charges. The period of performance runs from April 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027, with all materials to be delivered to the VRC Translational Research Program at Building 40 in Bethesda, Maryland 20892. The notice does not specify an award value or budget range, nor does it obligate the Government to award a contract or pay for any information provided in response to this notice.
