About this opportunity
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), listed under the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, is issuing a Special Notice for AAALAC International annual accreditation fee services, with quotations due by 12:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on November 6, 2026. No set-aside is used, and the attached non-competitive combined synopsis/solicitation names AAALAC International as the intended source. The NIH Office of Acquisition and Logistics Management is procuring on behalf of the Office of Animal Care and Use within the Office of Intramural Research. The accreditation assesses the NIH Intramural Research Program animal program so it remains compliant with NIH Policy Manual Chapter 3040-2, which requires full AAALAC International accreditation. The attached request for quotation is a commercial service under FAR Part 13 simplified acquisition procedures, with a firm fixed-price purchase order and a period of performance from January 1, 2027 through December 31, 2027. Offerors must hold active SAM registrations and submit completed FAR 52.212-3 certifications. Evaluation weighs technical capability significantly more heavily than price. Quotations go electronically to David Fitton (david.fitton@nih.gov) and Ty Main (ty.main@nih.gov). The justification for non-competitive award will be made available within 14 days after award, or 30 days if unusual and compelling urgency applies.
