About this opportunity
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention seeks proposals to provide a transgenic mouse model engineered with human immunoglobulin gene segments to produce humanized antibodies against influenza viruses. The mouse model must be capable of recapitulating the human antibody repertoire. The contractor will supply 50 mice in the first six months with options to provide up to 250 additional mice over the following 18 months. Proposals will be evaluated based on the mouse model's ability to generate humanized antibodies against influenza and the contractor's experience licensing the technology. Proposals are due by May 31, 2022.
There is no set-aside designated for this procurement. The solicitation is classified under NAICS code 541715 with a PSC code R425. The potential place of performance is Atlanta, Georgia. Proposers must also provide any required licenses, material transfer agreements, or quality documentation for the period of performance from September 2022 through August 2024.
Notice text
CDC seeks to test a transgenic mouse model that is engineered with human immunoglobulin gene segments to produce humanized antibodies, with the goal of determining if the antibodies generated from that mouse model can better recapitulate the antibody repertoire from humans.
Overall objective is to provide the Influenza Division with transgenic mice that express human antibody repertoire, which would be useful for assessing the efficacy of CVVs and developing antibodies.
