About this opportunity
The United States Coast Guard seeks six units of brand-name Absolyte Battery Kit (12 Cell), NSN 6140-01-627-6177, part number 100G17, with quotations due July 16, 2026 at 11:00 AM ET. The procurement is a total small business set-aside on a firm-fixed price basis, with no substitutes accepted.
Place of performance is Anchorage, Alaska (TFSI, 2000 W. International Airport, Unit B1). Delivery is required within 10-12 weeks after receipt of order, no later than September 30, 2026. These battery kits provide secondary backup power to critical Rescue 21 communications equipment at Remote Fixed Facilities throughout Alaska, where the Coast Guard currently maintains over ninety installed units.
This is a brand-name-only procurement justified under FAR 12.102(a) and FAR Class Deviation 25-21 Rev. 1. The Coast Guard asserts that non-Absolyte hardware would create substantial risk to system availability, require extensive system development and retraining, result in loss of system configuration control, and cause unrecoverable cost duplication. Any authorized reseller of Absolyte brand hardware is an eligible source.
The small business size standard is 1,250 employees under NAICS code 335910 (Battery Manufacturing). PSC is 6135 (Batteries, Nonrechargeable). Quotations must remain valid for 30 calendar days after solicitation close and include lead times, unit prices, extended prices, cost breakdowns, payment terms, prompt payment discounts, UEI number, federal tax identification number, and CAGE code. Shipments must adhere to DCMA Packaging & Marking Guide specifications. Evaluation is lowest-price technically acceptable; upon finding an offeror meeting brand-name requirements with reasonable pricing, evaluation stops. Anticipated award date is July 20, 2026. Amendment 0001 updated the delivery schedule to align with current manufacturer lead times, reflected in updated Attachment 1 (Requirements Document).
