This is a 100% small business competitive set-aside under NAICS 333310 with a 1,000-employee size standard.
Place of performance is Air Force Academy, Colorado, with delivery to HQ USAFA Division of Basic Sciences at 2354 Fairchild Drive, USAF Academy, Colorado 80840-6208. Delivery is required within 60 calendar days of award, though the Government will consider offers with longer lead times and will not disqualify quotations based on manufacturing schedule.
The camera must feature a focal plane measuring 44 millimeters by 33 millimeters or larger, monochrome imaging capability, 16-bit image format, greater than 80 megapixels resolution, and maximum weight less than 30 pounds. The Sony IMX461 sensor chip is identified as the preferred technology. Ethernet connectivity with gigabit-per-second transfer rates is required. The Government will accept multiple hardware options within a single comprehensive quote package provided each option independently meets all salient characteristics.
Evaluation criteria are price, technical merit, and past performance, weighted toward best value. The Government prefers domestic end products per the Buy American Statute and will evaluate foreign offers under DFARS 225.502. Quotations must remain valid through September 30, 2026. The contracting activity is the 10th Contracting Squadron at USAFA. Funds are not presently available; no award will be made until funds become available.
