About this opportunity
The United States Air Force Academy, under the Department of the Air Force Headquarters, is seeking to procure new systems and modular furniture for the Office of Labor and Economics Analysis (OLEA) office located in Fairchild Hall. The acquisition requires the purchase, delivery, and installation of Teknion systems furniture that must be available through GSA contracts. Key requirements include replacing glass panels on demising panels with 30-inch-height glass panels and whiteboards, removing all sliding doors, adding three new workstations with desktop modules featuring minimum 3 electrical receptacles and 2 USB ports, installing a shared wardrobe unit, and constructing a demountable acoustic wall. The furniture contractor must ensure all items are available on GSA contract and document any deviations as exceptions to the specification. The contractor is responsible for site measurements, coordinating with Civil Engineering Project Managers at least two weeks in advance, obtaining necessary contractor personnel badges, and managing all cleanup and damage repairs during delivery and installation. The Pre-solicitation Notice was posted on February 19, 2026, with questions due by February 25, 2026.
This contract opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, limiting competition to small business concerns. The procurement focuses on accommodating new staff positions within the OLEA annex on the 5th Floor of Building 2354 in Fairchild Hall at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with the project manager identified as Robin Witek. While no incumbent contractor or specific award value is identified in the pre-solicitation materials, the scope includes replacing and upgrading multiple workstations, panels, and acoustic elements within the defined office space. The furniture contractor must provide photographs, cut sheets, and detailed drawings in both plan view and 3D elevation for review and approval by the Base Interior Designer prior to installation. All colors and finishes require Base Interior Designer approval, and the contractor must coordinate the project timeline with Civil Engineering and other USAFA personnel to ensure successful completion of the renovation project.
