About this opportunity
The United States Air Force Academy's 10th Contracting Squadron seeks quotes for an Emergency Management Threat Detection Grid comprising detection and monitoring equipment, with quotes due July 2, 2026 at 1000 MDT and questions due July 1, 2026 at 1300 MDT. This is a Total Small Business set-aside RFQ for commercial products under NAICS code 334519 (Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing), with a 600-employee size standard.
Place of performance is Air Force Academy, Colorado. The procurement specifies brand-name Honeywell AreaRAE Pro components as the required platform, justified by mission interoperability with existing Honeywell-based monitoring architecture and lifecycle continuity of equipment purchased within the last two years. The item list totals approximately 131 units across 23 line items, including one AreaRAE PRO RDK Kit, multiple gas detection sensor cartridges (LEL, oxygen, hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, chlorine, ammonia, sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen cyanide), eleven PID ppb sensors, two RAEMET sensors, two RAE Pump Kits, six magnetic coax antennas, six AccuRAD Personal Radiation Detectors with accessories, and six StarCom Solar pole or fence-mounted power stations. Estimated period of performance is 5 weeks after receipt of order.
Quoters must be registered in SAM.gov, listed as authorized Honeywell resellers, submit a Buy American Certificate (252.225-7000), and provide Part I (Price Quote) and Part II (Technical Documentation) in a maximum 10-page response. Award goes to the lowest total evaluated price quoter meeting acceptable technical and past performance criteria. Evaluation proceeds in three steps: price calculation, technical acceptability, and past performance assessment via CAGE code through the Suppliers Performance Risk System. Prices must remain firm for 60 calendar days from receipt. No contract financing will be provided. The procurement was amended on June 30 to extend the due date from July 1 to July 2, 2026, and incorporate the updated item list dated June 30, 2026.
