About this opportunity
The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) is seeking to procure a high-specification Electroencephalograph (EEG) system for its Neurology department through a firm fixed-price contract. The solicitation, issued by the 10th Contracting Squadron, requires manufacturers or authorized resellers to provide a pre-assembled digital EEG acquisition device with advanced features including automatic seizure detection, a video camera, photic stimulation capabilities, and comprehensive review software. Potential contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and submit detailed quotes demonstrating compliance with the salient characteristics by March 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM Mountain Daylight Time. The government will evaluate quotes based on technical capability, past performance, and price, with the potential to award on an "All or None" basis. Quoters must also provide completed provisions, including Buy American certification, which requires detailed reporting on the origin of end products and components.
The solicitation does not have a specific small business set-aside and is open to full and open competition within the Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing (NAICS 334510) category. The contract requires delivery of a single EEG unit within 120 days after receipt of order, with F.O.B. destination to the U.S. Air Force Academy located in Colorado Springs, CO 80840. The procurement includes mandatory requirements such as installation, training, a minimum one-year warranty, and current Authority to Operate (ATO) with the Defense Health Agency. Technical specifications are precise, calling for specific hardware configurations including 12th generation Intel core i7 processors, 16GB DDR4 memory, and compatibility with Windows 10 or later operating systems. While no specific award value is mentioned, the solicitation indicates a comprehensive and technically complex medical equipment procurement with significant performance and compliance expectations.
