About this opportunity

This solicitation from the Department of the Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District Sacramento seeks design-build construction services for replacement of approximately 735,000 square feet of existing Portland Cement Concrete pavement along with full rework of structural base materials at East 388th Apron at Hill Air Force Base in Utah. The work includes addition of an aggregate base course with stabilized drainage layer and geotextile fabric to address seasonal frost conditions, replacement of existing shoulder asphalt, demolition of 52 sunshades and concrete slabs, and removal of underground asbestos piping. Proposals are due by May 30th and the contract will be set aside for total small business concerns.

The opportunity is set aside for total small business concerns under NAICS codes 237990 and 237310. The work includes demolition, concrete and asphalt pavement repair, and asbestos abatement with a place of performance at Hill Air Force Base in Utah. The solicitation does not provide budget details but the scale of the project involving over 735,000 square feet of pavement repair suggests an award value in the millions of dollars. Current incumbents were not named but the work must be completed to address the needs of the Air Force base.
