About this opportunity

The Department of Agriculture Forest Service seeks rodent extermination, exclusion, and decontamination services at two housing units on the Santa Fe National Forest in Coyote, New Mexico, with proposals due June 29. This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS 561710 with a 17.5-employee size standard. Amendment 1, issued June 18, clarified scope quantities and reinstatement procedures; the due date remains unchanged.

Place of performance is Coyote, NM. Work spans two structures: Housing Unit 28 (Crew Quarters, 1,160 sqft) and Housing Unit 46 (Ranger House, 2,031 sqft), both constructed in 1994 with crawlspaces and infested with common house mice. Task 1 requires rodent extermination using approximately 60 traps with pre-baiting and rotation to live traps, monitored daily across four service stops of approximately 2 hours each per house; if additional stops are needed for full eradication, the Government will issue a modification after contracting officer discussion. Task 2 specifies exclusion using stainless steel contractors' fabric and hardware cloth: patch 30 stucco holes in Unit 28 and 15 in Unit 46 with steel mesh and stucco, install 1/4-inch stainless steel hardware cloth caps on 10 roof penetrations per unit, and screen 10 crawlspace vents per unit. Task 3 requires decontamination of interior spaces using 365nM UV lights, HEPA vacuums, enzymatic cleaners, and viricide disinfectants, including removal and reinstatement of three bathroom exhaust fans (reinstatement may require a licensed electrician at contractor discretion). Task 4 involves installation of self-contained bait stations. Task 5 requires installation of an 18-foot garage door cap at the Ranger House using industry-standard, commercial-grade rodent exclusion seal compatible with the existing door. Period of performance is 30 calendar days after award, with work to be scheduled within 5 days of award. This is a Firm Fixed Price purchase order with payment via IPP.gov only. Evaluation criteria are technical approach demonstrating ability to meet schedule and capability to accomplish all Statement of Work requirements.
