About this opportunity
The U.S. Embassy in Guatemala is soliciting proposals for gardening services at its official residences, seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive landscape maintenance for three locations including the Chief of Mission Residence, Deputy Chief of Mission Residence, and PNC Barracks. The Department of State's Embassy in Guatemala City will evaluate and award a firm fixed-price contract to the lowest-priced, technically acceptable offeror. Key contract requirements include providing all necessary labor, personnel, management, materials, and equipment to maintain garden areas across approximately 4,325 square meters of landscaped spaces. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and submit electronic proposals by April 28, 2025, at 5:00 PM local time. A pre-proposal conference was held on March 25, 2025, and potential offerors were required to contact the embassy to arrange location entry and understand specific service requirements.
The solicitation is not set aside for any specific business category and is open to all responsible sources. The contract structure includes a base year with four potential one-year option periods, with an anticipated start in March 2025. The estimated annual contract value will cover standard routine services and potential temporary additional services, with work to be performed in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Contractors must provide proof of insurance, complete required forms including IRS Form W-14, and adhere to specific guidelines for tree maintenance, height safety protocols, and landscape management. Electronic submissions are limited to 10MB per email, and the government may award the contract based on initial offers without further discussion. The procurement is classified under NAICS code 561730 for Landscaping Services and PSC code S208 for Housekeeping and Landscaping/Groundskeeping.
