About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is seeking to procure upgrade and service to paint booth equipment located at Building 180 on Robins Air Force Base in Georgia through Request for Quote No. FA857126Q0065. The solicitation is being issued as a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items under FAR subpart 12.6 on a firm fixed-price basis. The contractor must provide all necessary travel, tools, equipment, personnel, and labor to perform on-site servicing of two pieces of equipment: an AMU (Serial #18906 EVAP) and a Heating & Ventilating Unit (Serial #62408), including installation of two Parts Coils and one Carel Display Module, air flow sensor relocation, and comprehensive testing and examination of the control system function and operation. Contractors must comply with extensive safety requirements outlined in Appendix C, environmental management system training, energy management system training, and submit required contract data requirements lists including a Contractors Safety Plan, Environmental Management System reports, and Accident/Incident Reports. All questions must be submitted by 12:00 PM EST on April 21, 2026, to SSgt Bobby Ballow, with proposals due on May 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM EST.
This is a sole-source procurement with no set-aside designation, solicited exclusively for Global Finishing Solutions, the original equipment manufacturer of the paint booths. The government justified the single-source acquisition based on the OEM's proprietary system design and refusal to sell data rights, with no alternative sources identified as capable of performing the required work. The contract performance period extends for 30 calendar days from the date of award, with a required start date of May 8, 2026, and completion no later than June 7, 2026. The contractor must contact the Government point of contact, Feltrina Harris, within five days of contract award to schedule services, and must assign a dedicated Program Manager within five calendar days of award. Work will be performed at Building 180 on the Warner Robins Air Logistic Complex in Warner Robins, Georgia 31098, during normal business hours of 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday, with the Contracting Officer identified as Robert Robinson.
