About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center Wright Patterson Air Force Base is seeking to procure the continued development and sustainment of the Universal Armament Interface (UAI) effort through a sole-source contract. The UAI is a unique program focused on standardizing data interfaces across all weapon-carrying platforms and munition systems. The contract will be a CPFF/CR/T&M/Hybrid type and will require the four original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) - Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon - to continue this work in response to advancing technology, new and advancing weapon systems, and emerging implementing program requirements.
This procurement will not use any set-aside designations. The Government intends to negotiate sole-source contracts with the four OEMs under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. No specific award values or budget ranges were provided, but the contract will be for the continued development and sustainment of the UAI effort.
