About this opportunity
The Department of Agriculture's Forest Service Pacific Northwest Region (Region 6) is seeking competitive bids for HVAC replacements at the Umpqua National Forest's Diamond Lake Ranger District. The contract involves supplying, installing, and disposing of two new HVAC systems for non-functioning units in two locations within Idleyld Park, Oregon. This opportunity is being processed through an existing Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with solicitation number 1240BH25Q0005, and will be managed by Contract Specialist Susie Felton. Contractors must be classified under NAICS code 238220 for Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors and have expertise in Product Service Code J045 for maintenance and repair of heating equipment. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on February 27, 2025, with responses due by March 15, 2025.
The contract is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, meaning only small businesses can compete for this opportunity. The Forest Service is using its existing BPA vendor pool and will not be adding new vendors unless competition becomes unacceptably low. While specific award values were not disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice, the work involves replacing two complete HVAC systems, which suggests a moderate-sized project for the Douglas County area. The contract will be competitively awarded through the existing BPA, with potential contractors expected to demonstrate capability in HVAC system replacement and installation. The project is expected to be completed within the fiscal year, with precise timelines to be clarified in the full solicitation document.
