About this opportunity

The Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk is seeking a contractor to provide equipment and material relocation services for Underwater Construction Team ONE (UCT-1), moving materials from Virginia Beach, VA to Gulfport, MS. This procurement will be conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12 and 13.5, which govern commercial item acquisitions using simplified procedures. The solicitation is expected to be available on or around April 11, 2025, with proposals due by April 17, 2025. Potential contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database and self-certify they are not suspended or debarred from federal contracting. All solicitation documents will be electronically published on BETA SAM and FEDBIZOPPS websites, with questions directed to Sherell Brown and Morgan Olszak from the Navy.

The contract is designated as a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS code 484121, which corresponds to General Freight Trucking, Long-Distance, Truckload, with a size standard of $34 million. The procurement will be a Firm Fixed Price contract for transportation and relocation services. Contractors must be prepared to download the full Request for Quotation (RFQ) package electronically and submit their offer through the specified websites. The specific scope involves relocating storage equipment and materials between two military locations, with a focus on precise and efficient transportation logistics. While specific award value details are not provided, the small business set-aside and NAICS classification suggest this is a targeted opportunity for smaller transportation and logistics firms specializing in long-distance freight movement.
