About this opportunity

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Unified Communications (UC) division is seeking to procure specific brand-name server cabinets and power distribution units to support its UC platform and services. The procurement involves two Panduit server cabinets (XG84522BS-0051) and four ServerTech power distribution units (two C2X36TEDQME2M99/ZW and two C2W36TEDQME2M99/ZR). The solicitation will follow a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) evaluation method, with strict requirements for brand-specific equipment and compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards and Trade Agreement Act (TAA) requirements. Quotes must be submitted through the designated platform by April 30, 2025, and must be All or None, meeting exact brand name specifications. The IRS is seeking a single contractor to provide these items, with an emphasis on technical compliance and precise matching of the specified equipment.

The contract is set aside exclusively for small businesses, with a one-time purchase and no option for future extensions. The estimated total value of the procurement is $18,516.80 for a twelve-month base period. The place of performance is located in Memphis, TN 38118, with delivery scheduled for May 15, 2025. The quantity requirements include two Panduit server cabinets and four ServerTech power distribution units, to be delivered as brand-new equipment with the original equipment manufacturer's standard warranty. The procurement is justified by the need for standardization across IRS Enterprise Computing Centers, with the specific equipment allowing engineers to maintain proficiency and avoid costly infrastructure modifications.
