About this opportunity

The U.S. Embassy in Canberra, Australia, is seeking to procure 60 fuel cards for use throughout Australia, with the primary objective of providing the embassy with a comprehensive fuel and vehicle service solution. The Department of State's General Services Office issued this solicitation (RFQ 19AS2025Q0010) for fuel cards that can be used at commercial fueling stations to purchase diesel, unleaded petrol, oil, and car wash services. The government intends to award the contract to the lowest-priced technically acceptable offer without discussions, with potential offerors required to be registered in SAM.gov and capable of providing detailed monthly invoices for 14 separate cost centers. The original response deadline was April 9th, 2025, but was subsequently amended to April 29th, 2025, at 5:00 PM AEST. Quotations must be submitted electronically to CNBGSOProcurement@state.gov, with pricing based on an expected monthly fuel consumption of 6,500 liters.

The solicitation is not set aside for any specific business category and is currently held by the incumbent contractor BUSINESS FUEL CARDS PTY LTD, with an annual contract value of $158,577.00 AUD. The contract period is set for one year, from May 1st, 2025, through April 30th, 2026, with a potential six-month option period. The place of performance is located in Harman, ACT 2600, Australia, and all pricing will be in Australian dollars, with an exception for U.S. firms who may quote and be paid in USD. Contractors must provide customer service support, have network survivability and recovery plans, and comply with federal anti-discrimination laws. Importantly, the solicitation was ultimately canceled on May 19th, 2025, via SF-30 Amendment 0002, terminating the procurement process for these fuel cards.
