About this opportunity
The Bureau of Reclamation is seeking to procure two specific electrical testing instruments for its Technical Service Center Hydropower Diagnostics & SCADA Group: a DC Ramp Test Set and a Corona Probe. The solicitation (Solicitation #140R8125Q0073) requires a brand-specific or equivalent equipment set, with preferred models being the IRIS DC Ramp Test Set Model DCR 60-2 and the Iris Power Corona Probe Model PPM-97. These instruments are designed for off-line insulation diagnostics on large motors and generators, capable of measuring partial discharge activity and performing electrical testing in compliance with IEEE 95-2002 standards. The solicitation is classified under NAICS category 334515 for Instrument Manufacturing and Product Service Code 6625 for Electrical and Electronic Properties Measuring and Testing Instruments. Proposals are due by January 28, 2025, at 1700 EST, with a period of performance from February 1, 2025, to March 1, 2025.
The contract is set aside for total small business participation and requires delivery to the Bureau of Reclamation's Denver Federal Center at 6th and Kipling, Building 67, Room 152. The procurement involves purchasing one DC Ramp Test Set and one Corona Probe, with specific technical requirements including 0 to 60 kilo-Volt DC output, USB connectivity, and a telescopic probe extensible to 3 meters. Delivery of the items is required by March 15, 2025, with the DC Ramp Test Set expected 26 weeks after award and the Corona Probe due 4 weeks after award. The contracting officer is Rodney Johnson, with Keith Singleton serving as the point of contact for solicitation information. While no specific award value is mentioned, the procurement is part of the Bureau of Reclamation's ongoing equipment maintenance and diagnostic capabilities for its hydropower infrastructure.
