About this opportunity

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is soliciting proposals for the procurement of Trellix (FireEye) NX-IPS cybersecurity devices and related services for deployment at their new Dallas, Texas data center. The solicitation seeks three main components: a Solution Services Remote Location package including 40 consulting hours and 8 project management hours, 3,000 Network Security NX Edition user licenses with 1.5 GBPS throughput capability, and two NW-5600 Network Appliances. Offerors must be authorized Trellix resellers or partners and must provide all items with matching part numbers from the pricing schedule to meet minimum technical requirements. The contract will be evaluated using a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) methodology, where the lowest-priced technically acceptable offer will receive the award. The proposal deadline is July 21, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. local time, with questions due by June 27, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., and all submissions must be sent to Christina V. Brooks at chrbrooks@fdic.gov.

This procurement does not utilize any small business set-aside designation and falls under NAICS code 541519 (Other Computer Related Services) with a size standard of $34 million. The solicitation has undergone multiple amendments, including quantity increases from 1,500 to 3,000 user licenses and from one to two appliances, as well as evaluation methodology changes and deadline extensions. The contract period of performance is one year from the award effective date, with the equipment and services to be deployed at the FDIC's Dallas data center facility. No specific award values or budget ranges are disclosed in the solicitation documents, though offerors must submit comprehensive pricing schedules along with required representations, certifications, and manufacturer agreements for software licensing, maintenance, and support services. The place of performance is listed as Arlington, VA, though the equipment will be deployed at the Dallas data center location.
