About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure a specific Clock Assembly (NSN 0O-5975-LLH7E5566-VN) with a quantity of 11 units, delivered FOB Origin. The procurement is a pre-solicitation notice for a highly specialized item that requires sourcing from specific manufacturers as defined by DoD-STD-100 standards. The government intends to negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1 authority, though interested parties may identify their capabilities within 45 days of publication. Evaluation will be based on the offeror's ability to meet specific qualification requirements at the time of award, with the government retaining discretion to determine competitive procurement. Potential vendors must obtain necessary technical specifications through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) in Philadelphia, PA, using ASSIST-Online or direct contact methods.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate a specific set-aside designation, and no incumbent contractors are mentioned. While the exact award value is not specified, the procurement involves a small quantity of specialized electrical hardware with potential international trade considerations, including potential applicability of Free Trade Agreements and Buy American Act provisions. The timeline for this opportunity spans from the publication date of February 13, 2025, to the response deadline of March 31, 2025, providing approximately 45 days for interested parties to submit their capabilities. The procurement falls under Product Service Code 5975 for Electrical Hardware and Supplies, and the government has determined that commercial item acquisition policies will not be used in this solicitation. Interested vendors must demonstrate their ability to meet precise technical and manufacturing specifications for this specialized component.
