About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is conducting market research via sources sought to determine acquisition strategy for a 10-year Tooling BPA Follow-on, with responses due by October 7, 2026.

The effort is coded to NAICS 333515 (Cutting Tool and Machine Tool Accessory Manufacturing, 500-employee size standard) and PSC 3460. The Government is actively evaluating whether to set-aside this procurement as a total small business set-aside and welcomes responses from 8(a) firms, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned businesses, HUBZone-certified companies, Women-Owned Small Business concerns, and large businesses. The Government will use submissions to determine the optimal acquisition strategy; if procurement proceeds, a separate pre-award synopsis will be posted to SAM.gov.

Interested parties must submit a summary outline of qualifications without web page references. Responses should identify small business status, describe similar services provided to Government and commercial customers over the past three years, and outline any anticipated teaming arrangements with clear delineation of prime versus partner responsibilities. The Government will not answer questions during this sources sought phase and will not return submissions.

The procurement encompasses an inventory of over 2,000 line items spanning precision machine tools (reamers, mandrels, bushings, files), hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, hammers, punches), drilling and fastening equipment (drill bits, countersinks, rivet tools), soldering and electrical equipment, cutting tools, and specialized fixtures and adapters. Most items are priced per each.
