About this opportunity
The Department of Energy Office of Science is soliciting quotations for a Time Tagger Ultra Performance device through a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by Argonne National Laboratory. The solicitation seeks one high-precision timing measurement device with specific technical requirements, including an 8 ps RMS Jitter, 1 ps Digital Resolution, and the ability to manage multiple network devices. Bidders must provide a signed RFQ, completed representations and certifications, a published price list, and verify the country of origin, with a requirement that U.S. components must exceed 65% of total component costs for 2024-2028 deliveries. Evaluation criteria will focus on technical specification compliance, with any bids not meeting the detailed requirements being automatically rejected. The quotation deadline is March 24, 2025, and bidders are expected to confirm lead times, potential DOE or GSA contract pricing discounts, and provide comprehensive documentation supporting their submission.
The solicitation does not have a specific set-aside designation and will be awarded under Contract No. DE-AC02-06CH11357 operated by UChicago Argonne, LLC. The place of performance is located in Lemont, IL 60439, with payment terms set at net 30 days and F.O.B. destination shipping. While no specific award value is mentioned, the procurement is categorized under NAICS code 334513 for Instruments and Related Products Manufacturing, specifically focusing on measuring and controlling industrial process variables. The technical specifications require the device to have a maximum of 18 input channels (standard: 4), support a data transfer rate of 90M tags/s, and include management interfaces such as Web GUI and Python Libraries. The solicitation emphasizes the critical nature of the device's technical performance, with precise requirements for input frequency, voltage range, and external clock input capabilities.
