About this opportunity
The Defense Health Agency is seeking quotes for brand name only laboratory equipment through the United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) to support the Office of the Armed Forces Medical Examiner's mission under the Armed Forces Medical Examiner System (AFMES). The procurement falls under NAICS code 325413 for In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing and PSC code 6640 for Laboratory Equipment and Supplies. The government is requesting a five-year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for specific brand name equipment that meets their operational requirements. All qualified vendors are encouraged to submit quotes, though the brand name only designation indicates the government has identified specific equipment that must be procured. The solicitation was posted on June 27, 2025, with quotes due by August 5, 2025. The evaluation criteria are not explicitly detailed in the notice, though vendors must demonstrate capability to provide the specified brand name equipment.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations, making it open to all qualified vendors who can supply the required brand name equipment. No incumbent contractors or current service providers are identified in the solicitation notice. The award value, budget ranges, and specific quantities of equipment are not disclosed in the available information. The five-year BPA structure suggests this will be an ongoing procurement vehicle rather than a one-time purchase, allowing for multiple orders over the contract period. The place of performance is not specified in the notice, though the contract will support AFMES operations which typically involve multiple military medical facilities. The blanket purchase agreement format indicates the government anticipates recurring needs for this laboratory equipment over the five-year contract term.
