About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command, through Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane, is soliciting maintenance, calibration, and repair services for two government-owned Teradyne Model microFLEX Semiconductor Test Systems. The contractor must provide preventative maintenance on a quarterly basis, NIST calibration services, software maintenance, emergency repair support within three working days, and immediate telephone assistance during system breakdowns. Key qualifications require the contractor to provide U.S. citizen engineers who are factory-trained, experienced, and licensed in Teradyne systems, with the ability to maintain a stockpile of repair and replacement parts. This is a sole-source procurement being negotiated directly with Teradyne Inc. under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), justified by Teradyne's proprietary rights to technical data, drawings, and schematics, as well as their exclusive access to trained technical personnel. The solicitation (N00164-26-Q-0023) was posted on December 4, 2025, with a response deadline of December 11, 2025, at 4:00 PM Eastern Time, and all interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).
This procurement includes no set-aside designations, though it is noted as a Women-Owned Small Business consideration in the supporting documentation. Teradyne Inc., located at 600 Riverpark Drive, North Reading, Massachusetts, is the intended sole source contractor. The contract is structured as a firm fixed-price arrangement with a base period from December 15, 2025, through November 30, 2026, and an option year from December 1, 2026, through November 30, 2027. The service covers two specific test systems identified by serial numbers S/N 1031MF005 and S/N 1126MF001, with quarterly invoicing based on actual engineer support time and travel expenses covered for the first two emergency service visits. Performance will take place at NSWC Crane in Crane, Indiana (47522), specifically at the Supply Operations Building 41 Receiving facility.
