About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 22 (NMVAHCS) has published a Limited/Sole Source Justification Notice for teleradiology services requiring interpretation of plain films, CT scans, MRIs, and subspecialty exams. The justification is based on critical radiologist staffing shortages, increased patient demand, and the need for expanded STAT coverage and subspecialty reads at the New Mexico VA Health Care System. VetMed Group, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), was awarded the sole source contract extension due to their extensive experience providing teleradiology services to VA facilities, processing approximately 1,200 studies per day, and maintaining compliant technology infrastructure with around 35 credentialed radiologists. The contract ceiling will be increased by $357,365.25 to cover an estimated 7,687 additional radiologic exams during the six-month extension period from August 1, 2025 through November 30, 2025. Market research confirmed that other commercial vendors and GSA/FSS contractors cannot meet the VA's specific teleradiology service requirements, making VetMed Group the only viable option for this contract modification.
