About this opportunity

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Notice for a multiple-award Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to provide Technical Expertise and Support Services. The objective is to support the FHWA Office of Safety's mission through related activities such as technical support and assistance, professional capacity building and training, audience outreach, and administrative program support. FHWA is seeking responses from interested parties, including small businesses, by September 16, 2024, to assess their capabilities to perform work in areas like transportation safety engineering, planning, research, public health, sociology, and advocacy.

The contract will be set aside for small businesses, with a NAICS code of 541990 - All Other Professional, Scientific and Technical Services. The current IDIQ contracts held by Cambridge Systematics, Leidos, Texas A&M Transportation Institute, and Vanasse Hangen Brustlin will be recompeted under this new IDIQ. While specific award values or budget ranges are not provided, the IDIQ contract(s) will give FHWA and its USDOT partners the flexibility to address various safety-related topics over the life of the contract.

The specific projects to be completed will be determined on an as needed basis by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). Elements of focus and priority may change during the life of this contract.

The multiple award indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract(s) resulting from this Statement of Work is intended to give FHWA and its USDOT partners the flexibility to address several topics and related issues without specifically identifying all required tasks for the life of the contract.
