About this opportunity

The Medical Readiness Contracting Office - East (MRCO-E) at Womack Army Medical Center is seeking to procure Wireless Automated Hearing Test Systems (WAHTS) through a direct procurement from WAHTS Hearing in Lebanon, New Hampshire. The Department of the Army Medical Command intends to acquire these systems specifically from manufacturer Edare LLC, with requirements including system hardware, parts, annual software access, and service that maintains a current Authority to Operate (ATO) on the Defense Health Agency network. Potential distributors must provide authorization letters from Edare LLC demonstrating their approved distribution status and current ATO expiration date. The solicitation number W91YTZ25QA031 will be posted on Sam.gov, with proposals due by March 24, 2025. The contract will be structured as a Firm Fixed Price Contract with an anticipated delivery date of July 1, 2025.

The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for this procurement, suggesting it is open to various qualifying vendors. The contract falls under NAICS category 339112 for Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing and PSC category 6515 for Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies. While specific award value details are not disclosed, the procurement is focused on a precise technical solution for wireless hearing test systems designed for military medical readiness. The procurement is specifically targeting systems with demonstrated compatibility and authorization for the Defense Health Agency network, which implies rigorous technical and security screening will be part of the evaluation process. The narrow specification of procurement directly from WAHTS Hearing and through Edare LLC suggests a highly specialized and potentially sole-source acquisition approach.
