The solicitation (W519TC26QA062) is designated as a Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) contract and will be awarded as a firm fixed-price purchase order to the lowest price, responsive, and responsible contractor under simplified acquisition procedures. Key contract requirements include forging per RIA drawing 300242 Rev. G using alloy steel heat-treated to Rockwell C 32-38, submission of a Certificate of Conformance and Certified Test Report, and First Article Testing (FAT) of three units with results to be submitted within 30 calendar days of testing completion. Evaluation will be conducted without discussions except for potential clarifications, with the government reserving the right to use AI tools as a supporting analytical resource while maintaining exclusive final decision-making authority by appointed government personnel. The current response deadline is March 27, 2026, at 1000 CT, following multiple amendments that have extended the original January 8, 2026 deadline.

This solicitation carries no set-aside designation beyond the WOSB preference, with no incumbent contractors identified in the notice. The procurement includes a base quantity of 3 units (CLIN 0001) with delivery required within 22 weeks from award, and an option quantity of 16 units (CLIN 0002) requiring delivery within 8 weeks from FAT approval, allowing contractors to propose volume-based discount pricing.
