About this opportunity

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District is soliciting quotes for the supply and installation of twelve new crane drive systems onboard Matboat 4801. Specifically, the requirement is to replace the existing drives for the hoist, trolley, and gantry functions on each of the four gantry cranes with General Electric GF2100e drives or equivalent. Quotes are due by March 15, 2021 and must be submitted via email. A site visit was held on February 26, 2021 to allow for inspection of the equipment and development of installation plans. Award will be on a firm-fixed price basis to the responsible offeror submitting the lowest priced, technically acceptable quote.

There is no set-aside designation for this requirement. The primary NAICS code is 238990 and PSC code is 3695, covering the supply and installation of material handling equipment. The incumbent contractor maintains the cranes but will not be eligible for this award. Site performance will be at the Mat Sinking Unit location. The solicitation does not provide an estimated value but the quantity of equipment and installation services indicates the award could exceed $250,000. Installation is to be completed within 120 days of award.
