About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Mission and Installation Contracting Command at Fort Eustis has issued a Sole Source Justification Notice for the Strengths Deployment Inventory (SDI) assessment tools, awarded to Personal Strengths Publishing, LLC (PSP) DBA Core Strengths. The five-year, firm-fixed-price contract is valued at $1,895,787 and will provide SDI instructional materials and certification for the Army Management Staff College's Civilian Education Systems Advanced & Intermediate courses. The SDI assessment tools are designed to help individuals understand their motivations, behaviors, and interpersonal dynamics, specifically supporting the Army's goal of promoting effective communication and team-centered mission focus.
Notice text
Strengths Deployment Inventory (SDI) self-assessment tools help students understand themselves and others about why they behave in certain ways. The results allow students to understand how to minimize conflict and maximize effectiveness. SDI consists of four main premises: 1) Behavior is driven by motives, 2) Motives change in conflict, 3) Strengths can be overdone, 4) Filters influence perception. These premises aid the Army in promoting effective communication, comprehension, collaboration, conflict mitigation, and team centered mission focus. The SDI assessment tools directly contibute to the US Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC)'s Accreditation of Training Operations Management Activity (TOMA)-validated Programs of Instruction (POIs).
