About this opportunity
Argonne National Laboratory, on behalf of the Department of Energy Office of Science, seeks quotations for a Streak Camera for the Advanced Photon Source Storage Ring, with proposals due September 22, 2026. Award will be made on a lowest price, technically acceptable basis.
Place of performance is Lemont, Illinois 60439. The streak camera must measure bunch lengths from 10 picoseconds to 150 picoseconds RMS; achieve 2 picoseconds or better time resolution; support operation within specified storage ring parameters (RF frequency of 352.055 MHz, harmonic number of 1296, revolution frequency of 271.674 kHz, and variable bunch patterns); provide dual sweep capabilities for transient measurements during beam instability; include a gate signal with extinction ratio higher than 10^6 for bunch-by-bunch profile measurements; feature both fast and slow sweep modules for dual sweep measurements in injector machines; and include complete system integration with input/output optics, a suitable digital camera, and control software for camera operation, image acquisition, display, and processing. The system must also support functionality within injector machines.
Offerors must submit a completed and signed ANL-70 Request for Quotation, ANL-70B Representations and Certifications, a list of capabilities aligned with technical requirements, and country of origin documentation. Country of origin must meet Buy American requirements: 65 percent domestic content minimum for deliveries in calendar years 2024 through 2028, with the percentage rising to 75 percent for deliveries starting in 2029. Offerors must identify any exceptions to technical requirements with supporting evidence and provide lead time from purchase order to final delivery DAP (Delivered at Place) to Lemont. Pricing must be firm and quoted on an F.O.B. Destination basis with delivery incorporated into the final price. Payment is net 30 days, 100 percent upon delivery. The resulting purchase order will be subject to Argonne Terms and Conditions (ANL-71-COM, dated February 13, 2023). The NAICS code is 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing; the PSC code is 6640, Laboratory Equipment and Supplies.
