About this opportunity

The US Army Corps of Engineers Engineer Research and Development Center seeks A36 steel plates via Request for Quote with proposals due August 21, 2026. The procurement is set aside 100% small business under NAICS 331210 with a size standard of 1,000 employees.

Place of performance is Vicksburg, Mississippi. The requirement specifies five rear panels (144 × 96 inches at 1.0 inch thickness), ten side panels (144 × 48 inches at 1.0 inch thickness), and ten end panels (96 × 48 inches at 1.0 inch thickness). All plates must be fully cut out with straightness, squareness, and flatness tolerances not to exceed 0.125 inches. The "fully cut out, no ripping" specification does not mandate cut edges on all four sides of each plate; rather, it restricts cutting methods that introduce unnecessary warping. Delivery is required 30 days after contract award to the Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory, 3909 Halls Ferry Road, Vicksburg, MS 39180, Attention: Garrett Doles.

The procurement accepts both domestic material and qualifying country material, provided offered steel plates meet the applicable requirements of DFARS 252.225-7001. This is a simplified acquisition under FAR Part 12 for commercial products. A Questions and Answers document was posted August 18, 2026. Contact Garrett Doles at (601) 634-2499 or Garrett.Doles@erdc.dren.mil for additional information, or email Lisa.A.Bernard@usace.army.mil and Allison.B.Hudson@usace.army.mil. Offerors must be registered in SAM at the time of quote submission and remain registered through final payment.
