The Forest Service anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price construction contract to replace the failing hydroelectric turbine, generator and controls at the Spotted Bear Ranger Station. Project includes improvements to the intake structure. This procurement is being set-aside 100% for small business. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supplies (other than for those listed as Government-furnished items) and supervision necessary to complete the project.
The project can be reach by travelling south from Coram, Montana on the east side of Reservoir road No. 38 for approximately 53 miles.
The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 237990 other heavy and civil engineering construction and the small business size standard is $36.5 million, set-aside 100% for small business.
The solicitation package will be available approximately on July 16, 2018 and should be downloaded from this website at that time. No hard copies will be mailed out. The work is estimated to begin September 15, 2018 through September 27, 2019. The construction magnitude of the project is between $250,000 and $500,000. A site visit is scheduled for this project which will be on Friday, August 3, 2018 to meet at the Spotted Bear Ranger Station at 11:00 a.m. local time. Spotted Bear Ranger Station is approximately 2.5 hours from Kalispell, Montana. All interested in attending the site visit shall send an email that includes the company name and the number of people that will be attending to Jeanne Windle at njwindle@fs.fed.us prior to attending the site visit.
