About this opportunity

The Department of the Army Medical Command's Medical Readiness Contracting Office-West has published a Special Notice announcing its intent to issue a sole source award to Curium US, LLC for radiopharmaceutical products. The Missouri-based company will supply various radiopharmaceuticals to support the William Beaumont Army Medical Center at Fort Bliss, Texas. This notice specifically states it is not a request for competitive quotations and that no Request for Quotation will be made available. The procurement will be conducted under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures with an anticipated firm fixed price award. The contract falls under NAICS code 325413 for In-Vitro Diagnostics Substance Manufacturing with a size standard of 1,250 employees.

The purpose of this sole source procurement is to acquire critical radiopharmaceuticals including CU64 DETECTNET, Technescan MAG3, and other nuclear medicine products for patient diagnostics and medical imaging procedures at the Army medical facility. The government conducted extensive market research from May through September 2025, including a sources sought notice that yielded only three responses, with just one source capable of providing the required depleted uranium generators. The contract is structured as a 12-month follow-on definitive contract funded by FY26 Defense Health Program funds. Key requirements include FDA-approved vendors, precise product matching, and strict monitoring protocols for radioactive materials. Contractors have until September 29, 2025, to respond to this notice, though the procurement is designated as sole source with no competitive opportunities available.
