About this opportunity

The Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) has issued a Special Notice announcing the Government's intent to release a Request for Information (RFI) regarding robotic solutions for Mission Autonomy. The RFI was issued on January 30, 2026, through the National Advanced Mobility Consortium (NAMC) and will also be posted on sam.gov. This Special Notice does not represent a solicitation for proposals or contract award opportunity, but rather provides advance notification to industry of the Government's intent to pursue acquisition of robotic capabilities. The notice is designed to inform the Capability Program Executive (CPE) Mission Autonomy and Army Senior Leaders about the current landscape of industry robotic solutions. The Government point of contact for this effort is Alessandro Padro at alessandro.v.padro.civ@army.mil.

The primary objective of this RFI is to gather comprehensive information on current industry robotic solutions to support the development of an acquisition strategy for rapidly providing Mission Autonomy capabilities to the Army. Responses to the RFI are due by February 27, 2026. To participate in the RFI process, interested companies must be members of the National Advanced Mobility Consortium; additional membership information is available at www.NAMConsortium.org or by contacting Questions@NAMConsortium.org. This information-gathering phase will be followed by a follow-on production effort pursued under the authority of 10 USC 4022(f), with the anticipated Period of Performance for the subsequent prototype project to be determined. The RFI represents an opportunity for industry to demonstrate their robotic solutions and influence the Government's acquisition strategy for Mission Autonomy capabilities.
