About this opportunity
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration Goddard Space Flight Center and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration seek to procure two Space Weather Next L1 Series Magnetometer instruments to measure the three components of the interplanetary magnetic field carried by the solar wind. Offerors must design, develop, fabricate, integrate, test, verify, evaluate, and support launch of the two tri-axial fluxgate magnetometers, as well as supply associated ground support equipment and mission operations support at NOAA's Satellite Operations Facility. Proposals are due by March 1, 2024 and the agency will evaluate offerors based on mission suitability and cost factors.
There is no set-aside designation for this procurement. The primary NAICS code is 334511 and PSC code is 1180. The period of performance will be from contract award until January 2034. Offerors must provide two flight magnetometer instruments for integration onto NOAA's L1 Next Series satellites launching in 2028 and 2032. The place of performance is Greenbelt, Maryland, USA. Amendments to the solicitation have extended the proposal due date and revised submission instructions and reference documents.
