About this opportunity

NASA's Shared Services Center is conducting market research through a Request for Information (RFI) to identify potential sources for uninterruptible natural gas supply to the John C. Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. The procurement involves delivering natural gas to the existing metering station at the North Fee Area Boundary and one additional location to be determined later. Key requirements include that contractors must maintain a current transportation agreement with Gulf South Pipeline Company, LP throughout the contract period and include applicable pipeline charges in their monthly invoices to NASA. The natural gas must meet strict quality specifications, including minimum 95% methane content and specific heating values between 950-1175 BTUs per cubic foot. Interested vendors must submit electronic responses to the designated NASA contracting officers by July 3, 2025, bearing all costs associated with their response preparation.

This opportunity carries no set-aside designation and is open to all qualified vendors. The RFI does not identify any current incumbents or existing contractors for this natural gas supply requirement. No specific contract values, budget ranges, or award amounts are disclosed in the pre-solicitation documentation. The pricing structure will incorporate an annual fixed coefficient plus monthly natural gas supply market prices from the McGraw Hill "Inside FERC's Gas Market Report" for South Louisiana Henry Hub, with NASA intending to include Economic Price Adjustments for Standard Supplies due to commodity price volatility. The RFI emphasizes this is strictly an information-gathering exercise that does not constitute a solicitation or guarantee future contract opportunities.
