About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Space Command, specifically the 30th Contracting Squadron at Vandenberg Space Force Base, is conducting a Sources Sought notice to identify commercial providers capable of delivering Commercial Internet Services (CIS) to support unfiltered network access to commercial partner resources. The procurement seeks a contractor to provide stable, high-speed internet connectivity to buildings 7000 and 8401 at VSFB, with services including internet connectivity, network equipment installation, and ongoing maintenance and support. Key requirements include the ability to deliver 1 Gb of commercial internet services at each location and provide an IPv4 Block /29 at each site, with all work performed according to industry standards including ANSI/TIA/EIA 568-B and UFC 3-580-01. This notice is for market research and planning purposes only and does not constitute a formal Request for Quote or binding commitment to award a contract. Interested parties must submit responses by March 31, 2026, with inquiries directed to Contracting Specialist Jeff Weeks at jeffrey.weeks.5@spaceforce.mil or Contracting Officer Scott Yeaple at Scott.yeaple@spaceforce.mil.

This procurement includes no small business set-aside designation and is open to all qualified commercial sources. The incumbent contractor currently has IT infrastructure installed at the required locations; however, a new provider may need to install new infrastructure, potentially resulting in duplicated costs for the government, which the agency is investigating through this market research. The notice does not provide a specific award value or budget range, as this is a preliminary sources sought inquiry rather than a formal solicitation. The government will provide network transport (fiber, CAT-6) from the contractor demarcation point to end-user locations within the facilities and will supply and maintain access layer network switches, wireless access points, and workstation hardware. Service invoices and billing statements must be submitted monthly to the S4S S4/6 agency via Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), mail, or email, indicating an ongoing service contract structure requiring monthly billing and coordination with the government program manager for all service cutovers and maintenance activities.
