About this opportunity

The Department of the Army Medical Command is conducting a Sources Sought Notice to identify potential suppliers for three Stryker SPY Bariatric Laparoscopes (or equivalent) for Evans Army Community Hospital at Fort Carson, Colorado. This market research effort seeks medical instrument manufacturers capable of providing a highly specific laparoscope with precise technical requirements, including a 5.4mm diameter, 30-degree angle, and 45cm length. Interested vendors must submit detailed capability statements addressing the specific technical specifications outlined in Attachment 1, demonstrating their ability to meet the government's salient requirements. Responses must be submitted electronically to Ms. Fabiola Palma-Trujillo and Mr. Christopher Adam Gregory by March 10, 2025, at 10:00 AM Mountain Standard Time, with a comprehensive submission including organizational details, contact information, SAM EUI number, and business size under NAICS code 339112. The government emphasizes that this is a voluntary information-gathering process and does not constitute a commitment to issue a formal solicitation.

The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designations for this procurement, meaning it is open to all qualified vendors. While no specific award value is disclosed, the requirement involves procuring three specialized medical instruments with strict technical specifications. Delivery is expected within 30 calendar days of award, with same-day installation required during Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM Mountain time. The government explicitly prohibits refurbished items or partial order fulfillment, suggesting a need for new, complete instrument sets from a capable manufacturer. Vendors must demonstrate compatibility with Stryker 1688/1788 CCUs, AIM, and L10/L11/L12 Light Sources, and provide documentation validating their capability to meet complex technical requirements such as IRIS validation, enhanced fluorescence capabilities, and optimization for ICG contrast agents.
