About this opportunity
The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Pacific (NAVFAC Pacific) is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources for radio fire alarm transmitters and antennas for defense system projects in Guam. The agency seeks suppliers capable of providing equipment that is compatible with the existing Monaco D-21 and D-500 radio fire alarm systems and meets specific technical requirements. Potential vendors must submit detailed technical data demonstrating their product's compatibility and performance, with equipment required to be tested and listed by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL). Responses must be submitted electronically to Carly Essex by June 12, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. HST, with the government emphasizing that this market research notice does not guarantee a future solicitation or contract award. The evaluation will focus on ensuring the proposed equipment meets narrowband radio communication requirements outlined by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for the procurement. The contract involves two Military Construction Army (MCA) projects: FY26 Project P-219/104219 and FY27 Project P-935/107935, both located in the Joint Region Marianas, Guam. Each project requires eight radio fire alarm transmitters and antennas, with a focus on precise technical compatibility with existing infrastructure. The current system utilizes Monaco radio fire alarm equipment, suggesting potential preference for similar or equivalent manufacturers. While no specific budget range is provided, the procurement is part of a defense infrastructure upgrade for forward operating sites. Vendors are explicitly warned that submitting company brochures is not acceptable, and all submitted information will become government property, with proprietary information to be handled appropriately.
