About this opportunity
The Army Contracting Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground is conducting a sources-sought market research for a portable data acquisition system for blast test applications, with responses due July 28, 2026. This is a research notice only and does not commit the Government to issue a contract. Performance will take place at the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.
The system must meet stringent technical specifications: 2,000,000 samples per second per channel with 24-bit resolution; DC to 2 MHz analog input bandwidth with hardware anti-aliasing filters; multi-mode sensor support including strain gauge bridge, voltage, IEPE/ICP, charge, resistance, RTD, thermocouple, and current measurements via software selection; programmable sensor excitation from 0–24 VDC with 100 microamp to 60 mA current range; galvanic isolation of all measurement channels; modular architecture with minimum eight isolated channels per module, accommodating at least two modules per front-end unit; operation from 11–32 VDC isolated DC power with AC adapter support; Gigabit Ethernet and USB 3.0 connectivity with minimum two LAN ports; dedicated hardware synchronization bus for multi-unit phase-coherent operation; CAN bus and counter/event inputs per module; and integrated vendor-supplied acquisition and analysis software with real-time display, post-acquisition analysis, and data export in common engineering formats. Delivery must be completed FOB Destination within 75 days after contract award.
Responses must address extent of specification compliance, business type and size classification, and past performance on completed projects. Small businesses, including Section 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned, and Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Businesses, are strongly encouraged to respond. Submit responses to Melissa Murphy and Zachary Dowling via email within five business days of posting.
