About this opportunity

The United States Air Force Materiel Command Test Center is conducting a sources sought market research to identify potential suppliers for fiber optic cables and related network infrastructure materials. This pre-solicitation notice seeks information from companies capable of providing specific fiber optic components, including rack mount termination boxes, pre-terminated cable assemblies, trunk cables, and fiber optic cassettes. The market research aims to gather comprehensive information about potential vendors, including their company details, experience, business size classification, and socioeconomic status. Interested companies must submit a complete one-page information package by January 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM Pacific Standard Time, with responses directed to Karla Vazquez and Denina Hudson via email. The procurement is explicitly for materials only, with no contracted labor or installation services included. Fiber cables must be pre-terminated, and potential suppliers are required to demonstrate full capability to support all aspects of the requirements. The potential contract appears to be for network infrastructure expansion, with components including various lengths of fiber optic cable assemblies (20-60 feet), indoor/outdoor MPO trunk cables, and specialized termination equipment. While no specific budget or award value is disclosed, the detailed technical specifications suggest a comprehensive networking infrastructure upgrade project for the Air Force Test Center.
